Nestlé, a Swiss multinational food and drink processing conglomerate corporation, will renovate a youth center in the Egyptian governorate in Qaliobiya at EGP 2.5 million within the framework of its social responsibility role to support Egyptian youth.
Rasem Dabbas, the Business Executive Officer for Nestlé, signed a cooperation protocol in this respect with Qaliobiya Governor Alaa Abdel Halim Marzouq.
Dabbas said Nestlé is keen on improving people’s lives, especially youths, through its CSR activities, therefore the company decided to join hands with the Qaliobiya governorate to renovate the Kafr el Arb’een youth center.
The youth center will offer a chance for youths to practice sports and adopt healthy lifestyles in line with the Sustainable Development Goals which call for empowering youths and improving people’s health and well-being.
Meanwhile, Qaliobiya Governor Marzouq said the governorate seeks promoting cooperation with the private sector for the best interest of its people.
He pledged to offer all needed facilities for Nestlé to accomplish the project.
He noted that Nestlé does not only seek to renovate the youth center’s building and turning all the center’s surrounding into green landscape, but also seeks to organize workshops and sessions to spread awareness among people about healthy habits and encourage them to adopt these habits.
