Forbes Global Properties is exploring plans to establish the Forbes Global Tower in Egypt, positioning the project as the world’s first zero-carbon-emissions tower and a potential landmark for sustainable urban development.
Michael Jalbert, CEO of Forbes Global Properties, presented the project during a meeting with Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa el Menshawy, outlining Forbes’ vision to bring the landmark development to Egypt.
Zero-carbon landmark:
The Forbes Global Tower is designed to combine urban innovation with environmental sustainability, with zero carbon emissions at the heart of the project’s concept.
Jalbert highlighted Egypt’s expanding urban development and the advanced infrastructure of its new cities, saying the project would also strengthen Forbes’ presence in Egypt and the region at large.
Green building standards:
The project has received Platinum Certification under the Green Pyramid Rating System, issued by the Housing and Building National Research Center.
The certification reflects the project’s alignment with green building and sustainability standards and supports its ambition to meet leading international benchmarks.
Supporting sustainable development:
El Menshawy said the Housing Ministry is committed to supporting international projects and creating an environment that enables global companies and brands to expand in Egypt.
She also highlighted the role of projects such as Forbes Global Tower in attracting international investment, strengthening private-sector partnerships and advancing the adoption of green building and sustainability standards in Egypt’s urban development.
