India CSR is organizing national conference and awards on Lands Acquisition, Resettlement& Rehabilitation (R&R), and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on September 13, 2019 at PHD House, August Kranti Marg, in New Delhi.
The conference is aimed at equipping stakeholders with the knowledge and skills required for compliance with the legal and procedural aspects of the The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and to address the community processes of land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
India CSR founder – Rusen Kumar said, “Land conflicts are a major cause of civil unrest in the country and constitute a grave challenge to the authority of the State, on one hand and the democratic rights of citizens, on the other. It is important to strike a balance between the need for land for developmental activities and the need to adequately address the issues raised by those impacted by the acquisition of land.”
The forum is for those who are involved in project planning and successful implementation, project managers, practitioners and people involved in project administration from public and private sector. The is relevant for middle and junior level officials posted in the LA, R&R, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility departments Public Sector Undertakings and corporates, tasked with implementation of The RFCTLARR Act, 2013. It is equally relevant to SIA state Authorities, SIA agencies, NGOs, current and prospective practitioners.
