Juhayna Food Industries was included among The Top 50 Listed Companies In Egypt by the Forbes Middle East in 2023.
This came in appreciation to the key role played by the company in the food industries domain in Egypt and the Middle East.
The market value of the company is $410 million, its assets stand at $206 million, its profits at $ 21 million and sales at $367 million.
The company has realized outstanding success in the Egyptian market since its establishment in 1983.
Juhayna Food Industries manufactures, processes, and packages dairy, juice, and cooking products. The company has four facilities, a network of distribution centers serving more than 136,000 retail outlets nationwide, and a 500-feddan, fully-owned dairy farm covering a sizeable portion of the company’s raw milk needs.
Methodology
Forbes Middle East collected data from the Egyptian Exchange and ranked companies based on their reported sales, assets, and profits for 2022 and market value as of April 30, 2023. Each metric was given equal weight, and companies with the same final scores were given the same rank.
Banking and financial services continue to dominate the list with 16 entries, followed by real estate and construction with eight and industrials with seven. Egypt’s largest listed bank, CIB, retains the top spot with a market value of $5.2 billion and total assets of $20.6 billion, followed by QNB ALAHLI and Telecom Egypt. Ranked 10th, Orascom Construction tops in terms of sales after generating $4.2 billion, followed by Elsewedy Electric (#4) with $3 billion in sales in 2022.
