Mohamed Samy, CEO of Cloud Eleven and former Managing Director of SAP Egypt, said said Egypt can move beyond exporting skilled professionals to become a global exporter of innovative technology solutions developed locally to address market needs.
He made the remarks during the session titled “From Digitalization to Smart Growth: The Role of Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Business Growth” at Egypt Sustainable Business Week 2026.
Empowering local partners, developers:
Samy said local partners play a key role in adapting global technology platforms to Egypt’s market by developing solutions tailored to local language, user needs, and regulatory requirements.
He said empowering local developers and partners to build applications, particularly AI-based solutions, can help Egypt move from exporting skilled professionals to developing and exporting homegrown technology solutions.
This also gives small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) greater access to innovative tools to improve business operations and performance.
Using AI to advance inclusion:
The CEO of Cloud Eleven said AI can also help people with disabilities overcome barriers to accessing workplace systems, supporting their integration and employment across several fields, including customer service, human resources and finance.
He stressed that developing technology solutions that address the needs of different groups, including people with disabilities, connects innovation with sustainability and social inclusion goals, while expanding access to employment and participation opportunities.
