Philip Jago, Technical Assistance Team Leader of the Egyptian Pollution Abatement Program (EPAP), stressed the importance of bolstering the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these ventures in order to implement green programs.
Addressing the first Egypt Business Solutions Summit on Monday, Jago said there are many challenges facing the SMEs sector, topped by entrepreneurs’ full awareness of environmental and climate change.
Jago said Egypt is able to overcome these challenges, presenting several recommendations to bypass the challenges facing SMEs, highlighting the importance of talking to experts for entrepreneurs to have sustainable ventures.
He stressed the importance of securing needed equipment and resources for any projects and realize the maximum benefit of the investments injected.
He also called for taking into consideration the experts’ opinions and pursuing sustainable solutions.
He stressed the importance of magnifying the benefit of available opportunities and adopting key measures for SMEs to become more competitive.
