Egypt Post has won the “Excellence Award for the Best Arab Postal Institution in Digital Transformation”, during its participation in the “Compliance Challenges and Strengthening Correspondent Banking Relationships” Forum organized by the Union of Arab Banks (UAB), on May 27-28, in Beirut, Lebanon.
UAB Secretary-General Wissam H. Fattouh and the Secretary-General of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO) Mohamed Bin Omar have presented the Award to Egypt Post Chairman Sherif Farouk, in the presence of a group of prominent and influential figures in the banking, financial and technological fields in the Arab region.
Egypt Post’s winning of this Award confirms its continued success achieved at the regional and international levels during the past period and represents a clear embodiment of the achievements made, whether in postal, financial or government services, and the implementation of financial inclusion and digital transformation in all work procedures and infrastructure development.
It also highlights Egypt’s leadership at the regional and international levels in providing various postal services.
Egypt Post participation in the “Compliance Challenges and Strengthening Correspondent Banking Relationships” Forum comes within the framework of supporting the state’s plans to achieve financial inclusion and following up on all international banking developments and the regional changes and transformations of the banking community to keep pace with current issues on the Arab and international arenas.
The Forum is an important platform for holding discussion between Arab banks and supervisory authorities about the most important developments on the national and regional arenas, in relation to compliance challenges and the requirements of correspondent banks, with the emergence of De-Risking phenomenon.
It is worth noting that Egypt Post has previously won the Customer Care Award 2020, awarded by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) for the best customer service for the year 2020. Egypt Post is a member of the UAB and a member of the Board of Directors of the Postal Union for the Mediterranean (PUMed).
