The door is open for nominations for the 2021 international awards of the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Program.
The deadline for nominations is May 31.
The 2021 edition of the awards will designate five outstanding scientific researchers in the Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science.
Each of the five laureates will receive an award of €100,000 for her great contribution to advances in scientific research. They will be celebrated in a ceremony to be held in March 2021.
One candidate will be selected for each of five regions; Africa and Arab States, Asia and the Pacific, – Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and North America.
Since the beginning of the program in 1998, the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Awards have honored 112 laureates, including three who won the Nobel Prize.
To valorize the level of scientific excellence in the region and give recognition to scientists on this global stage, scientists are therefore strongly invited to nominate candidates through the online dedicated platform: https://www.forwomeninscience.com/en/awards. An international jury of eminent scientists makes the final selection.
