CSR Arabia CEO honors CSR, sustainability icons in Egypt
CEO and Board Chairman of CSR Arabia Hassan Moustafa honored several icons of CSR and sustainable development in Egypt as well as people of disabilities.
The honoring ceremony was held on the fringe of the Arab Week for Sustainable Development.
Moustafa honored Dalia Akmal, CSR and Sustainability Specialist of the Arab African International Bank (AAIB).
Akmal said the bank is deeply interested in social work and job creation, referring to a campaign launched to spread awareness about the bank’s principles.
He also honored Sarah Ibrahim, Marketing & Corporate Relations Director of Attijariwafa Bank Group; Ghada Makady, Regional Director of Public Affairs and Communications of Coca Cola in Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Sudan and South Sudan; Basant Fouad, Director of the Department of Foreign Relations of Juhayna; Ghada Michel, Head of Communications & CSR of Sanofi Egypt; and Nahla Kamal, Corporate Affairs Head at Nestle Egypt.
Moustafa also honored Naglaa Noseir, Head of CSR Department in Telecom Egypt (WE); Ola Lotfi, Head of governmental and companies relations in the Middle East and Africa of Mondelez; Hala Abdel Wadoud, Head of public relations and CSR of Orange Egypt; and Amal Mobadda, Head of resources development division of Misr El Kheir.
Moustafa also honored Egyptian adventurer, World Records holder Ali Abdo .
During the honoring ceremony, Abdo said he is planning to go in a 25,000 kilometer journey – which is due to be the longest in the world – in order to spread awareness about the importance of CSR. During journey, Abdo will visit schools and universities within the framework of his CSR awareness campaign.
Moustafa also honored talented singer Hadeel Maged – a 25-year-old girl who is suffering from sharp vision deficiency. Moustafa thanked the girl for attending a gathering on the role of business institutions in supporting long-term plans in the Arab world. The get-together was held within the framework of the third Arab Sustainable Development Week.
