Lino Cattaruzzi, the managing director to Google business operations in the Middle East and North Africa, said that Google products, including AdSense, Android system, Google ads and Youtube, pump at least EGP 5.2 billion annually into the Egyptian economy.
He made the remarks during a press conference on Monday on the initiatives launched by Google to support local companies and train youths in Egypt.
He noted that Google has offered several products over the past years to its customers in Egypt to help them in their daily life in addition to supporting companies.
A report – issued recently by UK’s research company Public First – said that 1 to 3 percent of Google search engine users search for jobs and 77 percent watch videos to acquire more skills to accomplish their homework.
About 63 percent of internet users depend on Google maps to reach their destinations, the report added.
About 1 to 5 percent of Google users get advice for bringing up their children.
