China’s General Administration of Customs said the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and China hit dlrs 4.188 billion in the period from January to April 2019, at a 7.6 percent uptick in comparison with the corresponding period in 2018.
In a press release on Thursday, the administration said Chinese exports to Egypt reached dlrs 3.73 billion in the first four months of 2019, marking a 13.2 percent rise in comparison with the same period last year.
Chinese imports from Egypt recorded dlrs 458 million in the four months, down 23.4 percent in comparison with the same period in 2018.
During April, the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and China registered dlrs 1.029 billion, including dlrs 939.6 million Chinese exports to Egypt and the rest represents Chinese imports from Egypt.
