Hisham Muharram, Marketing Manager and Official Spokesperson for Realme, said Realme Global is embracing corporate social responsibility (CSR) as one of its important files.
In statements, he said Realme Global highly appreciates the Egyptian market and considers it as a promising youth market.
He said the company will focus its CSR activities on supporting Egyptian youths whom – he described – as very intelligent and good followers of the technological; sector.
He added that this would offer a chance of competition among smart phone companies, noting that the smart phones market in Egypt is very active.
He added that Realme Egypt has recently conducted a survey to know the most attractive thing in smart phones for youths.
The survey showed that the most important thing for youths is camera followed by size, shape and finally charging speed, he said.
He added that all requests of youths are taken into consideration while producing models at competitive prices.
He said youths – aging between 16 and 24 years old – are the top buyers of Realme devices and they represent about 80 percent of buyers.
Muharram said Realme Egypt occupied the fourth position in the local market and the company is ambitious to reach the first position.
He said that Realme devices are highly sold in Cairo, Alexandria and Gharbiya governorates and there are plans to expand sales in the rest of Egyptian governorates, especially in Assiut, Mansoura and Tanta, where more customer service centers will be set up.
Regarding the coronavirus period, he said the sales of Realme devices shot up about 157 percent more than average, due to people’s rising consumption of mobile phones in general, in addition to the spread of the culture of buying online.
He noted that about 40 percent of Realme sales in Egypt are online, highlighting that this is a good indicator and the company would work on promoting this.
