Banque Misr donates EGP 270 m to hospitals of Ain Shams, Cairo Universities
Banque Misr donated about EGP 270 million to hospitals of Ain Shams and Cairo Universities in June 2023.
On June 12, Mohamad Al-Tarbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Banque Misr, signed a cooperation protocol with Ain Sham University Chairman Mahmoud Metini for developing the university’s Abul Reesh hospital.
Under the deal, the bank will donate EGP 110 million for the purpose in light of the key role played by Ain Shams University hospital in offering health services in various domains.
On June 6, the Banque Misr inked a cooperation protocol with Cairo University Hospitals to donate EGP 160 million for the expansion of outpatient clinics.
The protocol was signed by Mohamad Al-Tarbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Banque Misr, and Prof. Muhammad Al-Kasht, President of Cairo University.
These measures reflect the bank’s intention to contribute to the enhancement of medical and therapeutic services offered by the hospitals of both universities.
This falls within the framework of Banque Misr’s pioneering role in social responsibility, as it is one of the pillars for attaining sustainable development in various sectors, including health, education, culture, work, and the environment. The health sector is one of the most influential sectors in individual lives.

Banque Misr also won the award for the best bank in the field of social responsibility from the International Finance Magazine as well as the Best Bank Award in the field of social responsibility – Egypt from Cosmopolitan The Daily Magazine.
