Hillebrand Gori, a DHL company and beverage logistics provider, has launched two transport decarbonization solutions, GoGreen Plus Base and GoGreen Plus Premium, offering beverage shippers flexible options to reduce allocated greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from ocean and air freight.
The solutions use alternative fuels within Hillebrand Gori’s logistics network and apply a verified book-and-claim methodology to allocate the associated emissions reductions to selected customer shipments.
Dominique von Orelli, CEO of Hillebrand Gori, said the new offerings aim to help beverage companies advance transport decarbonization while maintaining efficient and resilient supply chains.
GoGreen Plus Base offers a simplified entry point through regional flat-fee pricing and a 10% reduction in main-haul well-to-wake GHG emissions per shipment. The model is designed to help customers manage costs while taking steps toward lower-emission transport.
GoGreen Plus Premium targets customers seeking deeper emissions reductions, offering lane-level pricing and reductions of up to approximately 85% in main-haul well-to-wake GHG emissions per shipment. For eligible ocean freight trade lanes, the solution may also waive European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) maritime surcharges.
Both solutions cover full-container load (FCL), less-than-container load (LCL) and air freight shipments. Customers can apply them to individual bookings, selected trade lanes or broader transport volumes, depending on their requirements.
Carolin Haas, global head of the GoGreen Program at Hillebrand Gori, said the solutions address varying business and logistics needs, providing flexible pathways toward emissions reduction goals.
GoGreen Plus supports emissions reductions through sustainable fuels, including Sustainable Marine Fuel for ocean freight and Sustainable Aviation Fuel for air freight.
Under the book-and-claim methodology, the sustainable fuel does not have to be physically used for a specific shipment. Instead, the associated emissions reductions are allocated to customer transport activity within the same transport mode through a verified accounting process.
The approach enables sustainable fuels to be used where available while extending the benefits of the associated emissions reductions across the wider logistics network.
The launch comes amid evolving sustainability reporting requirements and regulatory frameworks. In June 2026, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) incorporated book-and-claim into its updated Corporate Net-Zero Standard 2.0, recognizing it as a decarbonization approach, particularly where further direct emissions reductions are not feasible and robust safeguards are in place.
Hillebrand Gori said the new offerings form part of its efforts to help beverage businesses address transport emissions while maintaining supply chain performance.
