Trouw Nutrition unveils its €10,000 grant to celebrate sustainable dairy professionals who are passionate about improving herd resilience and lifetime productivity.
Global nutritional solution provider, Trouw Nutrition, has launched a search for dairy farm innovations that drive longevity, sustainability, or animal well-being.
The new HealthyLife grant is available to progressive dairy farmers, nutritionists and veterinarians who are serious about the sustainability and well-being of their herd. Those with proven on-farm innovations may receive up to €10,000, along with a support package from the research and development team at Trouw Nutrition.
In these unprecedented times for the health of us all, dairy professionals are continuing essential work to provide enough milk to nourish the population, whilst also staying focused on the health of their dairy herd.
These new challenges require resilience, knowledge and problem-solving skills to ensure effective milk production management. Global Dairy Manager, Alfredo Sanz Moreno, explains more:
“Dairy can be part of the solution to feed the world not only from a nutritional perspective, but also playing a key role in delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by providing livelihoods to millions of people and generating gender equality and education.”
The HealthyLife Grant looks to encourage livestock professionals to further and develop unique innovations on farm, which support sustainability and well-being. Mr Sanz Moreno continues:
“We would like to hear about the great ideas that are taking place across Europe that not only improve the well-being of these cows, but also have a positive impact on sustainability. It is not about the size of the innovation, but the impact it has on the herd, the community, or the environment.”
