The deadline for applying for the Sawiris Cultural Award 2019 is August 29. The 15th edition of Sawiris Cultural Award addresses the fields of novel writing, short stories, screenplay, play-writing and literary critique.
The prize for the best novels stands at EGP 150,000 for established writers and ranges between EGP 100,000 and 70,000 for emerging writers.
The award for the best collection of short stories is estimated at EGP 150,000 for established writers, while the first and second awards for emerging writers valued EGP 100,000 and EGP 70,000 receptively.
The prize for best screenplay recorded EGP 150,000 for established writers and EGP 80,000 for emerging writers.
The best play writing award valued EGP 150,000 for the first prize and EGP 80,000 for the second prize, while the best literature critique award is estimated at EGP 100,000.
