The Arab African International Bank (AAIB) hosted at its main HQ the 2022 African Cup of Nations which is sponsored by Visa within the framework of supporting sports.
The event – which took place on December 9 – is the second of its kind.
The bank’s employees had a photo-opportunity with the cup.
AAIB Managing Director Sherif Elwi stressed the depth of partnership with Visa at all levels, underlining the bank’s keenness on supporting this kind of activities, especially sports.
He said the bank believes in the importance of sports in various communities and at all levels.
The bank considers Visa Company as one of its key success partners over the past years.
The bank will engage in more partnerships with Visa Company, especially as Visa Company teamed up with the bank in several products; the latest of which was Visa Signature.
Visa Signature has achieved great success in the banking sector and this has led to launching a second campaign within a year with the AAIB.
For her part, Dina Zekry, the chairperson of AAIB retailer and financial inclusion, said cooperation with Visa Company offers a chance for the bank to launch technological products going in harmony with the current banking sector.
She added that this will positively affect the bank’s plan and digital transformation within the coming few years.
Zekry said she is looking forward to more cooperation with Visa in the digital payment services and digital transformation in the Egyptian banking sector.
For her part, Malak El Baba, Visa’s Country manager for Egypt, said this event falls within the framework of promoting ties with its partners and getting them to be part of Visa initiatives for sponsoring sports and offering a more flexible experience for users in such large communities.
