Walid Darwish, Head of Environment Department of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Agency (MSMEDA), said there are more than 17 incentives offered to small and micro sized enterprises (SMEs) to join the formal economy, including tax exemption, participation in MSMEDA-organized exhibitions, and e-marketing opportunities through the agency’s platform.
He made the remarks during the Second Egypt Business Solutions Summit which kicked off on Monday under the theme of “Fill the Gap” with the participation of Ministers Yasmine Fouad of Environment and Soha Gendi of Emigration.
He said the state is doing its best to encourage informal businesses to join the formal economy.
He said the MSMEDA has 33 branches nationwide which offer all needed facilities to projects.
