He noted that about 80 to 85 percent of the factory’s production is exported to 40 countries with the products written on them “made in Egypt.”
He said Samsung is proud to write “made in Egypt” on its products.
The Beni Suef TVs factory was set up in 2013 with a production capacity of 6m devices annually.
The factory is also fully prepared to meet the export needs as well as the needs of the local market.
This contributes to boosting Egypt’s economy through providing a steady flow of foreign currency through exportation.
Samsung Egypt has always been keen on launching CSR initiatives to support the Egyptian march of development.
Samsung Egypt has spearheaded its CSR initiative to empower the technological skills of Upper Egypt’s children under its campaign, “Samsung Hope for Children.”
The initiative was meant to inspire Upper Egypt’s children, one of the poorest rural areas in the country, by providing them with state–of-the-art IT equipment and IT training to schools creating for them a modern learning environment.
Also, Samsung Electronics Egypt opened two Sono schools in Cairo and Alexandria.
The Samsung SONO Schools are equipped with the latest cutting edge ultrasound machines (5D) from Samsung, which serve specialists in the medical fields of gynecology and obstetrics, internal medicine, liver disease and heart disease.
This would also be helpful in breast tissue examination and tumor type determination.
The Samsung SONO School also offers specialized training for using ultra sound devices to improve the participant’s diagnostic skills with the ultimate objective of contributing to the development of the healthcare sector in addition to research development.
