Google’s director of agencies for MENA Hisham El-Nazer said Google has a plan to help 200,000 local companies in Egypt to market their trade activities via its platform by the end of 2019.
The company will also form a local teamwork at its office in Egypt within the coming months in order to manage its projects and initiatives.
The company will also train about 100,000 persons on basic digital skills by the end of 2019, he said, noting that these training sessions will help 25,000 persons to find jobs or upgrade their positions.
Meanwhile, Google products have also helped Egypt to down greenhouse gas emissions as a recent report by UK’s research company Public First said Egyptians’ use of Google maps contributed to largely curbing a huge amount of greenhouse gas emissions that tantamount to the emissions of 25,000 flights annually.
