Carrefour has launched “Reading for everyone” program in partnership with publisher Rue des Ecoles under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. Reading is one of Carrefour’s key commitments.
With its “Reading for everyone” program, Carrefour wants to get people reading across the country, making it easy for people to get hold of books and giving children a taste for it.
Starting now, customers will find a selection of 20 books in Carrefour stores aimed at children aged between 3 and 8. They will all be available at the price of one euro.
These books will be about dreaming, the future and progress, and they will be available in hypermarkets and for pick-up from Carrefour Drive outlets via the Carrefour.
The first 100,000 loyalty-card holders to purchase one of the books in this campaign will get 12 months’ unlimited access to an online library. They will find one hundred or so books for young people in this library. It contains stories, tales and illustrated documentaries to read and listen to for all children up to the age of 10. The books are read and include audio for a more immersive experience. They feature an underlining mode designed to help children learn how to read.
