UNCTAD, Alibaba’s training program on e-commerce, digital innovation to target African entrepreneurs

The eFounders Fellowship program – which provides first-hand exposure to ecommerce and digital innovations – will introduce its 10-day Class 7 for founders/co-founders of digital ventures from Algeria, Ethiopia, Ghana, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, or Tunisia as of August 18.

The eFounders Fellowship program is jointly organized by Alibaba Business School and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), which are implementing the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.

The program provides first-hand exposure to ecommerce and digital innovations, access to business leaders across Alibaba and China, as well as an opportunity to connect with like-minded, leading entrepreneurs in your region. The fellowship is a community of passionate and successful “Champions for the New Economy” looking to inspire and create a more inclusive development model for all.

Participants will stand on the key factors in Alibaba’s long-term success; the defining moments and failures that have shaped Alibaba’s journey (including the early stages of development) ; and Alibaba’s ecosystem.

The eFounders Fellowship program Class 6 – from June 2 to 12 – focused on founders/co-founders of digital ventures from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam.

The program’s Class 5 gave hand to founders/co-founders of digital ventures from Botswana, Cameroon, Chad, Kenya, Rwanda, or Uganda.
