The Suez Canal Bank is a key player in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as it is keen on serving the Egyptian community.
The bank has, for instance, partnered with the Giza Governorate to provide motorcycles for handicapped people over the past few years.
It has also contributed to the establishment of the Ataa Charitable Fund for supporting disabled persons. This fund was the first of its kind not only because it offers prosthesis as well as other needs of handicapped people, but also because it secures money through proceeds of an investment fund which puts out securities for IPO. The investment fund is managed by a board of investment experts and a number of figures interested in issues of disabled people. The investment fund secures needed money for taking care and rehabilitating handicapped people.
The Suez Canal Bank has also organized by the end of 2019 a handicraft exhibition for disabled persons. The bank organized the exhibition – under the slogan of “your wealth is your craft” – in order to economically empower the Egyptian community.
It also extended donations to the Tahya Misr Fund and the fund for honoring the martyrs, victims, missing and the injured of security, military and anti-terrorism operations and their families.
