Schneider Electric official urges becoming more open up for new technology to realize energy efficiency
New Energy Landscape Manager of the Middle East & Africa at Schneider Electric Amr Kandil underlined the importance of becoming more open up for new technology and thinking differently in order to move ahead towards achieving energy efficiency and using clean energy resources.
He referred to the use of Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHC) as a promising solution for using hydrogen as a source of energy and cutting carbon emissions.
He made the remarks on Tuesday during the 5th Forum on Strategies for Transition to Green Economy which is organized by CSR Egypt under the theme of Green DNA “Sustainable Finance and Impact Investment”.
He highlighted the concept of “decentralization” in using energy resources as any industrial facility need to depend on more than one energy resource, including solar, hydrogen, wind, etc.
The question is that how different energy resources can operate together, he said, noting that this has led to the emergence of the trend of hypergraph which is simply the integration distributed energy resources.
Kandil added that an advanced technological approach is needed to help utilizing distributed energy resources in the most efficient way, noting that any company that will not be able to develop itself will be lagging behind.
He noted that an investor can resort to a specialized energy company to be in charge of energy generation and efficiency, thus saving a lot of money.
