Huawei, a global leader in information and communications technology (ICT) solutions, has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Egypt’s National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) to promote cyber security practices.
This strategic partnership between Huawei and NTRA signifies a shared commitment to bolstering cyber defenses, safeguarding sensitive data, and promoting a secure digital ecosystem.
By joining forces, both parties are set to effectively leverage their expertise, resources, and networks to address emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities effectively.
Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hafez, Vice President for Cyber Security Affairs, National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and Chairman Executive Bureau of The Egyptian Supreme Cybersecurity Council said, “The signing of this MOU represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to enhance national cyber security practices and protect critical assets. By partnering with Huawei, we are confident in our collective ability to address evolving cyber threats effectively and uphold the highest standards of cyber resilience.”

The MoU was signed during Huawei for the second year in a row at CDIS 2024, under the slogan “Empowering Trust, Securing Digital Egypt.
Huawei, during the event, reaffirmed its commitment to cybersecurity in Egypt, demonstrating its comprehensive End-to-End (E2E) cybersecurity strategies, which are applied across all of Huawei’s business sectors, building a robust ecosystem that puts user trust and data safety at the forefront.
