L’Oréal Egypt, through its dermatological skincare brand La Roche-Posay, hosted “Melodies of Hope,” a charity concert featuring renowned Egyptian composer and pianist Omar Khairat, with all proceeds from ticket sales dedicated to supporting the Baheya Foundation for Women’s Cancer Hospital.
The event builds on La Roche-Posay’s ongoing “Fight with Care” partnership with Baheya Foundation, launched in 2024 to provide comprehensive physical and psychological support to women undergoing cancer treatment.
The concert sought to raise both funding and awareness for women battling cancer in Egypt, leveraging the unifying power of music to support patients and their families. Through the initiative, La Roche-Posay reaffirmed its commitment to helping women navigate their cancer journey with dignity, confidence, and access to specialized care.
Launched in 2024, the “Fight with Care” program was designed to address skin-related side effects commonly experienced by cancer patients during and after treatment.
As part of the partnership, La Roche-Posay supported the establishment of a dedicated training room at Baheya Foundation, funded the recruitment and training of specialized staff, and provided essential skincare products. The program also delivers patient support sessions, healthcare professional training, and broader care initiatives aimed at improving treatment outcomes and quality of life.
The initiative includes skincare and makeup workshops for cancer fighters, alongside educational and awareness programs targeting patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
In addition, the partnership has facilitated a range of activities and workshops focused on psychological well-being, helping patients manage the emotional and social challenges associated with cancer treatment.
In 2025, the program reached more than 40,000 individuals, reflecting its growing impact on Egypt’s cancer care ecosystem.
Most recently, La Roche-Posay launched a dedicated Dermo-Oncology Department led by Professor Rehab Hegazy, operating as a volunteer movement among dermatologists across Egypt. The initiative marks a significant step toward advancing integrative cancer care and enhancing quality-of-life support for oncology patients nationwide.
Through “Melodies of Hope,” L’Oréal Egypt aims to transform artistic expression into tangible support for women facing cancer. The event underscores the company’s broader commitment to social impact, demonstrating how partnerships, awareness initiatives, and community engagement can contribute to more comprehensive patient care and support systems across Egypt.
