Levchenko urges spreading awareness among children at schools about SMEs

Alexander Levchenko, CEO at Fawry MSME Finance, urged promoting awareness among children at schools about the importance of entrepreneurship and teaching its fundamentals.

Egypt has taken significant steps to support and develop small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in addition to offering needed facilities to issue licenses of small businesses, he added.

Levchenko made the remarks during the third Egypt Business Solutions Summit, under the theme of “Creativity is the Key to Sustainability”. The event is held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouli, along with the ministries of Environment, Youth, and Sports, as well as the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI).

He expounded that Fawry has started buttressing this sector, especially through ditching traditional models, referring to securing digital licensing for SMEs to promote digital transformation in Egypt.

Clients can now access funding opportunities through machines available in stores, thus enabling small business owners to benefit from all digital services.
