The Housing and Development Bank (HDB) sponsored a charitable celebration held by the Yasmin El Samra Foundation for Epidermolysis Bullosa Patients in Egypt in tandem with the Rotary Club.
The celebration aims to spread awareness about this rare disease and its impact on children and their dire need for special care.
The bank’s Board Chairman Hassan Ghanem said that the bank has been cooperating with the Yasmin Foundation since 2019, noting it has been a key supporter and strategic partner to the foundation.
He stressed that the bank’s support for the foundation stems from its belief in its role in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The bank has been backing of the health sector via launching several effective initiatives and buttressing hospitals and charitable institutions.
The bank also participates in protocols that aim at creating sustainable and positive impact on society, he said.
The foundation and the Rotary Club honored Ghanem in appreciation of the bank’s support and ongoing efforts to serve society, support charitable associations and participate in initiatives aiming to realize a tangible impact in society.
Head of the HDB’s communications department Jihan Goweli received the honoring on behalf of Ghanem.
