The food delivery company Talabat is to donate all profits earned on Thursday to humanitarian relief efforts in Palestine.
The money will come from orders on the food app and sent through the World Food Program.
The initiative also offers employees to make charitable donations that will be matched by the company.
Individuals interested in donating directly can also do so through the Talabat app.
CEO Tomaso Rodriguez said: “The world has been witnessing the current humanitarian crisis and we believe it is our duty, as people and as an organization, to stand for humanity and lend a helping hand to the Palestinians in need of humanitarian support.”
Managing director of Talabat Egypt, Hadeer Shalaby, said Talabat aims to provide critical humanitarian relief to Palestinians.
“Our hearts and minds are with our neighboring country and with all those who have been affected during the most recent escalations.”
The Kuwait-based company was founded in 2004 by a group of young entrepreneurs.
