Fine Hygienic Holding (FHH), one of the world’s leading wellness groups and manufactures of hygienic products, has received the prestigious “Athar Award” for Best Practices in Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Egypt.
The award, presented for the first time by the CSR and Sustainable Development Forum (Egypt CSR Forum), is one of Egypt’s most esteemed annual accolades that recognize organizations and individuals that demonstrate outstanding commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
FHH’s recognition reflects its commitment to preserving the environment and empowering the community. The company’s flagship CSR program ‘Fine Academy’ empowers future leaders by bridging the gap between education and the marketplace needs through offering on-the-job paid internships, while its “Passionately Handmade” program, which ran for two executive years in partnership with Misr El Kheir, empowered women in less privileged areas by helping establish income-generating projects.
This award also highlights FHH’s dedication to environmental sustainability. The company uses 100% virgin pulp sourced from FSC-certified suppliers and is committed to reducing its carbon footprint through the use of natural gas, which helps eliminate over 25,000 tons of carbon dioxide annually.
The company also seeks promoting water conservation through its water treatment plant and drives waste reduction initiatives, earning certifications like ISO 50001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and the Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) certification.
Commenting on this occasion, Ahmed Nada, Supply Chain Director at Fine Hygienic Holding in Egypt, said “We are immensely proud to receive this recognition. Sustainability and community empowerment are not just part of our business, they are at the core of our values. As leaders in the FMCG sector, we are committed to fostering a sustainable future, protecting the environment, and empowering individuals and communities to thrive.”
