ExpandCart CEO Amr Shawki expressed happiness for this honoring, noting that the retail sector is witnessing great development in view of the march of digitization which Egypt adopts.
He referred to ongoing efforts to encourage various e-payment methods, noting that this coincides with an increase in internet users via mobile phones as well as shoppers on e-stores in view of the diversity of products offered online.
He added that this honoring will incentivize the company to further expand its activities in Egypt as well as the Middle East and North Africa states in light of its success in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
This success came in light of a financing round of dlrs 2.7 million which enabled ExpandCart to provide merchants with smart solutions, like ExpandBot application which allows merchants to interact with their clients and respond to their questions via messenger.
Founded in 2013, the company has expanded it activities to more than 40 countries around the world with a customer base of more than 20,000 merchants who have generated more than $850 million profits by launching e-store via ExpandCart platform in its main markets; Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
