The deadline for applying for the 2019 Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development is November 30. The one-million-dollar prize is held under the theme of “Clean Water and Sanitation” this year, thus focusing on the Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6) on “Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.”

The Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) invites the United Nations, international and regional organizations, ministries and public institutions, social business enterprises, national NGOs, individuals and all development actors worldwide development actors, worldwide to nominate the projects that best contribute to achieving all or some of the targets of the SDG 6.

The one-million-dollar award is divided into four categories; the first category prize ($ 400,000) specified for projects implemented by UN agencies or international and regional NGOs, the second category prize ($ 300,000) specified for projects implemented by national Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), the third category prize ($ 200,000) specified for projects implemented by governmental bodies or social business enterprises and the fourth category prize ($ 100,000) specified for projects initiated, funded and/or implemented by individuals.
