Mert Dedebas, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa at Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, announced the rollout of the Frankfurt School CSR Academy in Egypt this year, in partnership with CSR Egypt.
The announcement was made during the 16th annual Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Conference (16th CSR Egypt and Sustainability Conference) under the theme of “The Right Place to Ask the Right Questions… Ask and Act”.
The senior marketing and communication manager at Frankfurt School of Finance and Management said the academy is designed as “a practical executive learning experience, especially for professionals in the financial and the banking sectors who want to better understand sustainable finance, ESG, and operational transformation happening across the banking sector.”
The program aims to build awareness of sustainable finance and ESG, strengthen operational understanding, and help institutions become more future-ready.
“Our target audience is professionals in the banking sector, so that the academy offers operational courses. The courses are very practical and application-oriented,” the official said.
“The learning experience in the academy combines both academic expertise with the practical industry perspectives.”
Participants will not only learn ESG and financial sustainability concepts, but also understand how these topics connect to governance, control, reporting, and operational processes within financial institutions.
The academy is structured as a three-stage journey:
* The first phase focuses on the foundations of sustainable finance and ESG, including key concepts related to the Egyptian financial sector
* The second phase focuses on operational practices, governance, reporting, and institutional processes
* The third phase focuses on audit perspectives, practical application, and real-life case studies
The program includes expertise in sustainable finance, climate finance, ESG integration, and audit perspectives.
Concerning the launch of the academy, Dina Kayaly, spokesperson on behalf of CSR Egypt, said:
“We are very proud to initiate this cooperation… it is a very important step to us and, we believe, to the Egyptian market.”
“We are introducing a very sophisticated, professional training program about sustainability targeting specifically certain sectors… We believe we are the only organization that collaborated with Frankfurt School in Egypt that has such a program.”
She highlighted that “CSR Egypt is a very integral part of Athar Network. We have been in the market since 2015. We are known to be a knowledge hub for CSR, ESG, and sustainability and anything related to it. Actually, we are considered to be one of the regional leaders in this area.”
She added that CSR Egypt has an extensive network of professionals, a database, and has organized many events.
