China’s Likee will start its work in the Egyptian market by spearheading charitable activities under its social responsibility plan, topped by supporting Hospital 75375 for cancer treatment by donating with certain amount of money to help cancer children patients.
The company revealed it began its work in the Egyptian market through its new platform Likee which is specialized in the dissemination of short video content on the Internet as a strong competitor to the oldest platform in the field “You Tube.”
The company’s spokesman said in a press release that the Egyptian market is considered one of the most important markets for the platform in the MENA Region as it is deemed as the center of the region technologically, noting that the youth population in Egypt is one of the most active on the internet in the region and the platform aims at young people to unleash the content of the video produced by the Egyptian youth on the internet.
“Likee” the new platform is operating in more than 200 countries around the world and is being used in one year by about 200 million users worldwide and the platform contains more than 5 million short videos produced daily by young people around the world. Likee – whose headquarters is in China – has branches in several countries; namely India, Russia, USA, Egypt, Indonesia and Mexico.
