Managing Director at Avanz Capital Egypt Haytham Wagih highlighted the need for more partnerships between the Egyptian government and the private sector to stimulate the growth of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) sector.
He made the remarks during the third Egypt Business Solutions Summit, under the theme “Creativity is the Key to Sustainability”. The event is sponsored by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouli, along with the ministries of Environment, Youth, and Sports, as well as the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones.
Wagih noted that efforts were exerted over the past period to offer incentives for SMEs owners to join the formal economy.
He added that that there is a need for a significant number of investors to provide more funding opportunities and support for this sector.
