Naglaa Nosseir, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Director of Telecom Egypt (WE), stressed that the company focuses on promoting its CSR role in several sectors, including health, training, education, women empowerment and supporting handicapped persons.
She made the remarks during the 11th Corporate Social Responsibility Forum (CSR Forum).
As for the health sector, Nosseir said WE supported 510 operations of cochlear implantation for children within the framework of a partnership with university and health insurance hospitals.
Concerning the field of training and education, she said the company turned Sultan Hassan Palace and Baron Palace to a school for innovation and supporting youths, in addition to establishing the first communications and IT school which aims at generating specialized IT technicians and backing youth cadres to be able to meet labor market needs.
The company was directed by the cabinet to expand the establishment of IT schools to have a new aware and innovative generation in the communications domain in order to achieve the sustainable development goals and Egypt Vision 2030.
