Board Chairman of Al Mansour Holding Company Youssef Mansour donated EGP 51.5 million to support Egypt’s efforts in the face of the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
Mansour sent a letter to Prime Minister Mosutafa Madbouli on the donation.
About EGP 25 million of the total donation is allocated to the Health and Population Ministry in order to be able to fit out hospitals with needed equipment to efficiently face up the pandemic.
About EGP 10 million will go to the Tahya Misr Fund.
The company also earmarked EGP 15 million for purchasing 200,000 foodstuff boxes; 100,000 boxes would go to fever and quarantine hospitals, while the rest would be sent to needy families via the Tahya Misr Fund.
The company has also joined hands with the Egyptian Food Bank through donating EGP 1.5 million to give hand to 10,000 vulnerable families and daily-wage workers.
