Sisi unveils mega project for storing all state data underground
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi pulled the curtain away from a mega national project for storing all state data using giant servers buried underground.
He made the remarks on Wednesday during the digital transformation session which was held within the framework of the National Youth Conference.
He said the state established the “mega e-brain” project about 14-meter deep in a certain area, adding that the ultra-secure project will have “an alternative e-brain.”
The project will use separate servers under the new mechanism which will store all state data in one place.
The state started working on digital transformation two years ago, Sisi said.
He expected the governmental performance to witness a breakthrough in the coming year, especially as the government will be moving to the New Administrative Capital in the coming period.
He noted that 50,000 employees were selected to be trained on the top-notch technological infrastructure.
