Mars has taken immediate action to support people and pets in communities impacted by the wildfires in southern California by contributing monetary donations to non-profit organizations, including The American Red Cross, World Central Kitchen, Feeding America, and Greater Good Charities.
Mars also distributed in-kind human and pet food product donations from its Ben’s OriginalTM, KIND Snacks, Nature’s Bakery, M&M’S®, SNICKERS®, PEDIGREE®, Royal Canin, and BUCKEYETMNutrition brands, among others, via partnerships with non-profit organizations.
It also provides veterinary care and pet boarding, with Associates from Banfield, VCA and BluePearl – including veterinary technicians and veterinarians – answering the call to help volunteer alongside shelter veterinary teams to provide animal handling and caretaking.
To further support wildfire relief efforts, PEDIGREE Foundation has provided grants to non-profit partners, shelters, and rescues to help with transport needs and foster support. Banfield Foundation, VCA Charities and BluePearl Cares have also provided grants to help with displaced pets and shelter animals, and shelter support.
