GAFI head urges spreading awareness to incentivize startups to join formal economy
Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Hossam Heiba stressed the importance of spreading awareness to encourage startups to join formal economy, calling for cooperation with all the bodies concerned in this respect.
He made the remarks during on the Second Egypt Business Solutions Summit which kicked off on Monday under the theme of “Fill the Gap” with the participation of Ministers Yasmine Fouad of Environment and Soha Gendi of Emigration.
He said GAFI is working on facilitating measures for companies in order to overcome all obstacles facing them.
He urged securing the proper climate for realizing sustainable development and encouraging the establishment of small and medium-sized enterprises.
He highlighted that GAFI is committed to applying sustainable development standards, noting that GAFI is cooperating with all the bodies concerned to up the efficiency of startups.
He noted that GAFI has laid down a legal system for companies to join the official economy, highlighting the incentives offered to startups to take this step.
