The EY organization has formed an alliance between Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) and sustainability AI company Watershed to help organizations measure and report greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, strengthen regulatory readiness and scale their decarbonization efforts.

The alliance combines Watershed’s sustainability AI platform with EY US’s advisory, implementation and program management capabilities to improve emissions measurement, automate reporting and enhance the reliability and transparency of sustainability data.

Automating emissions measurement, reporting:

:The partnership will support organizations in measuring Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, calculating product carbon footprints and managing sustainability data. Its services will cover the end-to-end sustainability process, from audit-ready data collection and emissions measurement to reporting, planning and sustainability advisory.

The companies aim to help organizations navigate complex emissions measurement methodologies while meeting regulatory requirements and responding to customer and investor expectations.

Supporting scalable decarbonization strategies:

Derek Przybylo, EY-Watershed Alliance Leader at EY US, said the partnership would help organizations translate sustainability goals into measurable action by strengthening emissions measurement, automating reporting and developing scalable solutions that support decarbonization and regulatory readiness.

Christian Anderson, CEO of Watershed, said sustainability practices would become increasingly automated and action-oriented over the coming years, with sustainability insights supporting operational efficiency and resilience alongside reporting requirements.

He added that the alliance would combine Watershed’s data capabilities with EY US’s experience in guiding organizational change.
