Malak El Shishiny, Investment Director at Hassan Allam Utilities, said the company is aligned with the Egyptian State strategy for becoming a logistic hub.
She stressed the company is investing heavily in the logistic sector, expounding “We are very well placed in this sector and we are seeing appetite from e-commerce players to make big distribution hubs in Egypt.”
She made the remarks on Monday during the 4th Forum on Strategies for Transition to Green Economy which kicked off in Cairo under the theme of “From Vision to Implementation.” The event is organized by CSR Egypt.
She added that the company has also partnered with Almar Water Solutions, a leading global developer of water infrastructure solutions, to invest in water desalination in Egypt.
She added that the company has an already operating project producing 90,000 cubic meters of desalinated water per day, noting that the company is also working on powering part of this water desalination projects with solar energy.
The company is also contributing to having green buildings, especially through solar rooftops, she said.
The company is also teaming up with the Egyptian Supply Ministry to modernize the state warehousing systems, she said.
She added that the company is also working on promoting the social infrastructure, expressing interest in investing in the healthcare sector in Egypt.
