on in Egypt. Manal born and raised in Suhag, Upper Egypt. She graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor Degree in commerce from Asiut University, coupled with a post graduate Diploma on Human Rights and Civil Society and master student in planning and development. Manal held various technical and managerial posts in several international organizations such as CIDA-PDP, Italian Cooperation, CARE, SC, TDH, REDEC, CARITAS and UNICEF. Over the past years, Manal has trained and provided technical assistance to a large number of Egyptian and Arabian CSOs with multiple employees, BMs and volunteers. Manal is an active member of several CSOs and provides support to emerging organizations in Upper Egypt on a voluntary basis. Recently, she led a pioneering national advocacy campaigns to amend two Egyptian laws: Child Law and the Law for persons with Disabilities, focusing on citizen engagement in law amendment process nationwide where community voices turned into real actions. She was acknowledged by Family & Population State Minister for her advocacy efforts supporting the amendments of the child law. Manal has been leading different CSOs institutional capacity assessment, strategic planning and capacity development interventions especially in Result Based Management, Rights-Based Approaches, Human Rights, Child rights and protection, Gender equality, building Civil society participation platforms. She is one of the founders of the Egypt Child Rights Coalition, a cofounder of the “Egypt Child Protection Network- ECPN” the Donor Network in Egypt, The network of the associations supporting persons with disabilities in Upper Egypt, MENA ANSA and Terrous. Manal has carried out consultancies for Al-Ahram Canadian University, AMIDEAST, PDP, UNICEF, CARE, TDH, COSPE, CEOSS, CSD, CARITAS
