Zain Jordan – which is part of Zain Group and the leading mobile telecom innovator across the Middle East and North Africa MENA region – distributed a total of JD 129,000 awards among 21 winners of innovative projects in various development sectors.
The 21 winners were selected out of 600 innovative projects that were vying for the awards of Zain Al Mubadara 4 Program which falls within the framework of the company’s strategy for promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as well as Sustainable Development.
The contest addressed three main tracks. The first track is the Idea Stage Track which supports prospective entrepreneurs by enabling them to turn to their existing ideas into viable businesses. The second track is the Startup Track which buttresses startups. The third track is the “Social Entrepreneurship Track” (Ahmad Hanandeh Award) which was backs recently established social enterprises.
Zain Al Mubadara 4 program offers logistic and technical support for the winning projects, in addition to providing the guidance and support in creating business models and marketing and promotional schemes for the projects.
Zain Jordan CEO Fahad Al Jassem distributed the awards during a ceremony held at the King Hussein Business Park with the participation of businessmen, entrepreneurs as well as representatives for startup-support agencies.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of Al Jassem and Former CEO of Zain Jordan Ahmad Hanandeh.
During the ceremony, Al Jassem honored the judging panel for their efforts as well as guides who offered all needed help for applicants.
Among the winners were six startups; namely Tyrain Art, Sawwa7, Sadeed, Himisto, Gradsgate, and WARAGAMI. Each of the six enterprises got JD 7,000 in addition to a one-year in-kind support due to be offered by the company.
As for social projects, The Good Socks ranked at the top, obtaining a JD 10,000 award, while Sadeq company came in the second position coping a JD 7,000 award. Connect to Fit company ranked no 3 with a JD 3,000 award.
Moreover, Zain Jordan announced 12 pioneering entrepreneurship ideas as winners. Fee Back idea came in the first position copping JD 15,000 award, while Drawit came in the second position with JD 7,000 award. Qeshta, Leefy, Canzi and Mudarrib shared the third position with each getting JD 6,000.
Marth, Taleb pro, Green cut, Aounak, Chazit and Biodiesel shared the fourth position with each getting JD 3,000.
