The World Youth Forum (WYF) called for holding a global summit for international financing institutions and donor countries to examine the best ways for helping poor countries.
This came as part of the forum’s recommendations which were read out by Executive Director of the National Training Academy (NTA) Rasha Ragheb.
The four-day the WYF also called for establishing an African business council grouping youth entrepreneurs and businessmen in order to offer a chance for funding youth’s innovative ideas.
It also urged the World Health Organization to adopt an initiative for recognizing anti-coronavirus vaccines.
The forum also called for disseminating awareness about water resources and localizing water desalination technology in all countries suffering from water scarcity in order to produce water at lower price and achieve the utmost benefit.
It also urged placing at the top of the international agenda the trans-boundary water resources governance under an international law.
The forum highlighted the importance of getting youths involved in addressing climate issues at the regional and international levels.
The forum also called for mobilizing United Nations efforts to establish a UN-affiliated unified platform to ensure securing needed finance for reconstruction.
The forum also called for launching an international strategy for promoting social and humanitarian solidarity in order to support peace and security in the post-coronavirus pandemic stage.
The forum is an international annual event held in Egypt’s Red Sea Resort City of Sharm El Sheikh under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The previous three sessions in 2017, 2018 and 2019 were accredited by the United Nations Social Commission as an international platform for discussing youth issues.
The forum was held this year under the slogan of “Back Together” and focused on the issues of promoting dialogue, development issues, climate change and peace.
