{"id":99296,"date":"2024-07-20T00:07:13","date_gmt":"2024-07-19T21:07:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=99296"},"modified":"2024-07-20T00:07:16","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T21:07:16","slug":"130m-ebrd-loan-helps-coca-cola-hbc-invest-in-innovation-latest-sustainable-technologies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/130m-ebrd-loan-helps-coca-cola-hbc-invest-in-innovation-latest-sustainable-technologies\/","title":{"rendered":"$130m EBRD loan helps Coca-Cola HBC invest in innovation, latest sustainable technologies\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A 130-million-dollar loan offered by the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/en\/ebrd-prices-its-largest-ever-green-bond-transaction-at-eur-1-bn\/\"> European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD<\/a>) will help Coca-Cola HBC \u00a0continue to grow and invest in innovation and the latest sustainable technologies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The financing package will be complemented by a grant of $ 750,000 from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegef.org\/\">Global Environment Facility<\/a>&nbsp;(GEF), provided under the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fintecc.ebrd.com\/ENVITECC\">Environmental Technology Transfer program<\/a>&nbsp;(<a href=\"https:\/\/fintecc.ebrd.com\/ENVITECC\">ENVITECC<\/a>) to promote the implementation of advanced wastewater treatment technology and water management systems in Egypt as per EU discharge standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">With the EBRD\u2019s support, Coca-Cola HBC will continue to invest in its training program to help young people build skills. It will also strengthen equal opportunities through dedicated measures to advance the careers of women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">EBRD Managing Director for the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean&nbsp;region,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/who-we-are\/senior-management\/heike-harmgart.html\">Heike Harmgart<\/a>,&nbsp;said \u201cWe are very pleased to sign this financing package with Coca-Cola HBC and to further support the private sector, a key segment of Egypt\u2019s economy. Thanks to the support of our partners in the Global Environment Facility, the new financing will also help alleviate water pollution by promoting advanced wastewater treatment technology as well as fostering inclusion by increasing employment opportunities and training for Egyptian youth, benefiting the local economy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ahmed El Afifi, General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Egypt, said, \u201cOur cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development enables us to continue to grow and invest in innovation and the latest sustainable technologies.
