Approximately 55,000 men and women are expected to take part in Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris<\/a> this year in support of a more sustainable and equitable future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, 7,700 Schneider Electric customers, partners, and employees registered to take part in the event, slated for April 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schneider Electric<\/a>,\u00a0the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, continues to sponsor reaffirmed the societal commitments that underpin its 11-year tenure as the title sponsor of the Marathon de Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since becoming title sponsor in 2013, the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris<\/a> has set the pace for accelerating the transition to a cleaner and fairer world while promoting the positive impact of sport on people and communities. Encouraging people from all backgrounds and abilities to take part in sports and promoting physical activity helps build a healthier and more inclusive future for all generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schneider Electric\u2019s long-standing commitment to sustainability has championed various initiatives aimed at reducing the race\u2019s environmental impact, such as recycling clothes, food waste, and other materials collected on the day. Since 2019, the event\u2019s carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent emissions have been balanced through investments in Livelihoods Fund<\/a>s projects to help avoid and remove CO2 emissions and benefit rural communities in Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTaking part in the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris is a journey of perseverance and endurance where we celebrate each runner\u2019s dedication, determination, and resilience,\u201d said Chris Leong, Schneider Electric\u2019s Chief Marketing Officer. \u201cWe are thankful for our 11-year partnership with A.S.O., marked by a joint purpose of showing how one of the world\u2019s largest marathons can be a leading force in delivering an equitable and sustainable iconic event. It takes a collective commitment to turn ambitions into actions and win the race for a decarbonized world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schneider Electric also sponsors the Paris Run for All<\/a> 4km charity run held on April 6, which attracts participants of all abilities, with all proceeds<\/a> funding sporting activities for children with disabilities. Registrations<\/a> for Paris Run for All are open and available to everyone aged 12 and over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Marathon de Paris also continues to boost gender equality by recognizing female and male runners in the same way. For example, equal prize money is awarded to the top men and women finishers and the women\u2019s race starts before the men\u2019s so that all the winners are broadcast live crossing the finish line and receiving their medals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
