{"id":95683,"date":"2024-02-29T12:34:44","date_gmt":"2024-02-29T10:34:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=95683"},"modified":"2024-02-29T12:34:45","modified_gmt":"2024-02-29T10:34:45","slug":"hassan-credit-agricole-works-on-applying-standards-of-sustainability-esg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/hassan-credit-agricole-works-on-applying-standards-of-sustainability-esg\/","title":{"rendered":"Hassan: Credit Agricole works on applying standards of sustainability, ESG"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Sherif Hassan, GM, Head of Sustainability &amp; Sustainable Finance at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/en\/credit-agricole-schneider-electric-launch-sustainable-development-projects-in-menoufia-villages\/\">Credit Agricole Egypt,<\/a> said the bank works on applying standards of sustainability as well as environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He highlighted that the bank changes its sustainability strategy every three years.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Hassan made the remarks during the 14th CSR &amp; Sustainable Development Forum, currently held in the Red Sea resort city Sharm El Sheikh.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Hassan expounded that the bank applied these standards out of its belief that starting from within will help gaining clients&#8217; trust and credibility.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In 2016, the bank obtained &#8220;LEED&#8221; certification for the first time in Egypt and North Africa due to constructing a building that adheres to the highest environmental system standards.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Credit Agricole Egypt obtained the LEED certification from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usgbc.org\/\">U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)<\/a> for its \u201cMadinaty Open-Air Mall\u201d branch, recognizing the branch\u2019s adherence to rigorous standards and criteria across various categories; such as location, materials, indoor quality, and innovation.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">LEED is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership, where LEED-certified buildings are designed to minimize the use of energy and water, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and create healthier environments for employees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sherif Hassan, GM, Head of Sustainability &amp; Sustainable Finance at Credit Agricole Egypt, said the bank works on applying standards of sustainability as well as environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals.
