{"id":92142,"date":"2023-10-20T22:02:52","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T19:02:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=92142"},"modified":"2023-10-20T22:02:52","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T19:02:52","slug":"hm-issues-eur-500-m-green-bond-to-back-5-sustainable-finance-categories","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/hm-issues-eur-500-m-green-bond-to-back-5-sustainable-finance-categories\/","title":{"rendered":"H&#038;M issues EUR 500 m green bond to back 5 sustainable finance categories"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/en\/hm-introduces-more-sustainable-circularity-driven-denim-collection\/\">H&amp;M<\/a> Group has issued a EUR 500 million green bond with its net proceeds due to be allocated towards eligible projects in the fields of Circular Economy, Green Buildings, Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Water Management &amp; Wastewater Management.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The five categories are defined in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.spglobal.com\/_assets\/documents\/ratings\/research\/101585743.pdf\"> the Sustainable Finance Framework published on 1 September 2023.<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The bond \u2013 with 8-year maturity under its EMTN (Euro Medium Term Note) program &#8211; generated great interest amongst a broad international base of institutional investors and was more than 3.5 times oversubscribed.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u201cWe are pleased to have been able to attract strong demand for our inaugural green bond from a large number of international investors. The transaction extends H&amp;M Group\u2019s debt maturity profile and supports our vision to lead the change towards achieving a circular fashion industry with a net-zero climate impact. We are also happy to see a broadening of our investor base, including several leading green investors, which confirms the ambition of our sustainability agenda\u201d, says Adam Karlsson, CFO, H&amp;M Group.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The bond will be listed on the regulated market Euronext Dublin and has been placed with the assistance of BNP Paribas, ING, J.P. Morgan, SEB and UniCredit.
