Uber will match donations made through this feature up to $1 million.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The company is also making an additional $500,000 donation to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.icrc.org\/en\">International Federation of\u00a0Red Cross<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfpusa.org\/\">World Food Program USA<\/a>\u00a0in support of the UN World Food Program\u2019s\u00a0humanitarian efforts in Ukraine and neighboring countries.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Uber is also providing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uber.com\/en-pl\/blog\/pomoc-dla-ukrainy\/\">unlimited free trips<\/a>\u00a0between the Ukrainian border and Polish cities to support refugees and their families, as well as free transportation for staff at Migrant Welcome Centers and for the delivery of goods to NGO warehouses in Poland.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Uber has collected 60 tons of essential supplies in Romania, and it is now working with the International Red Cross to transport them to communities in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Uber has however decided to pause operations throughout Ukraine to protect the safety of drivers and riders. We remain committed to keeping cities moving and helping people travel during these difficult times, and it is assessing how to restore its services on a city-by-city basis, as soon as it is safe.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The company has also provided advance payments to all drivers in Ukraine and it is exploring how Ukrainian refugees can have access to work on the Uber platform in neighboring countries where it operates.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Uber is helping Ukraine staff and their families relocate to other countries or to areas of Ukraine not currently in danger of the conflict.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Uber teams are working 24\/7 to keep impacted employees, riders, and drivers safe and are partnering with NGOs to support relief efforts on the ground.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Uber will launch later this week an in-app donation button to allow Uber riders in the US to make donations to the\u00a0International Rescue Committee to support Ukraine.
